Why We Started This

Because somebody needed to say it out loud.

Between the two of us, we have decades of clinical experience sitting with people who are trying to make their relationships work. And over and over, we kept hearing the same thing: people were following advice that sounded right, that everyone around them repeated, that had been passed down like gospel — and it wasn't working.

Not because they weren't trying. Because the advice was incomplete. Or oversimplified. Or just wrong.

Somebody Lied When exists because the relationship conversations most people are having aren't honest enough. We're not here to lecture. We're here to think out loud — with clinical grounding, real-world context, and no tolerance for answers that sound good but don't actually help.
